
"City Hunter" is a gripping South Korean television series that aired in 2011. The drama is based on the Japanese manga series of the same name.
The series revolves around **Lee Yoon-sung (played by Lee Min-ho), who was raised in Thailand and returns to Korea under a false identity. He works on the international communications team in the Blue House, the executive office and official residence of the South Korean head of state.
Yoon-sung's ultimate goal is to avenge his father's killers. His father was one of the five South Korean officials who planned a covert operation, codenamed "Operation Cleansweep", to enter North Korea and kill several top members of the North's high command. However, the operation was aborted to avoid an international crisis, and the assault team was killed during their extraction.
Yoon-sung, codenamed "City Hunter", uncovers a web of corruption and political intrigue that runs deep within society. Along the way, he falls in love with **Kim Na-na** (played by Park Min-young), a bodyguard who becomes his ally in his quest for truth
