Five families who lived on Xiaoji Street in the 1990s are the subject of the story Never Grow Old. It portrays the endearing story of two generations helping one another out in the everyday struggles they face. As they develop as a unit, they feel love, friendship, and connection. The boys and girls that reside on Xiaoji Street serve as the story's protagonists. They have Jianlibao, Monopoly, and Contra when Taobao, Weibo, and Moments aren't ruling the world. They also have a network of loyal pals that will joke about, chase each other, and support one another no matter what. After a brief but lovely period of adolescence spent together, they quietly mature on their own.
